MISHAWAKA - Kenneth L. Dingman, 78, of 11th Street, passed away at 2:25 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, Ind. Mr. Dingman was born on Nov. 26, 1918, in Converse, Ind., and was a lifelong area resident.

 

On Oct. 17, 1959, in Mishawaka, he married Elsie Sierens, who survives along with two daughters, Natalie Zoncick of South Bend and Sandra Dingman of Escondido, California; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. One son, Victor Dingman, preceded him in death.

 

Mr. Dingman was a former employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad for 20 years, and was a driver for Kuert Concrete of South Bend for 20 years, from which he retired in 1982. He was a member of St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Teamsters Local 364, a lifetime member of the B-K Club, the American Legion, and the V.F.W. in North Liberty, Ind.

 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. James Shafer officiating. Cremation will follow. Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. today, with a rosary to be recited at 3:30 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th St., Mishawaka. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bavo's Catholic Church, 511 West 7th St., Mishawaka, IN 46544.
