Miriam Mae Dobbins

Miriam Mae Dobbins, 75, of East Eckman Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 6:35 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10, in Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 24, 1924, in Amberg, Wis., to Owen Leroy and Laura Frances (Senger) Harley, and had lived in the area since 1942, coming from Amberg.

 

On May 10, 1942, in Amberg, she married Darvin Dobbins, who survives. She is also survived by three daughters, Julie (Jerry) Weger of Granger, Ind., Diane Clough of Bloomington, Minn., and Lynn (Craig) Keller of Elkhart, Ind.; two sons, Michael (Brenda) of St. Louis, Mo., and Dennis of South Bend; seven grandchildren, Tonya Weger, Jessica, Joseph and Megan Dobbins, Chad and Cam Keller, and Kelly Ross; a sister, Effie Raschell of New Mexico; and by a brother, John Harley of Phoenix, Ariz. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary in 1977.

 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 13, in the Christian Center Cathedral of Praise, 530 E. Ireland Road. Rev. Stephen Sumrall officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, and one hour prior to services on Monday in the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
