SOUTH BEND - Robert W. Dollie, 79, of East Solomon Avenue, died at 6:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Medical Center after an illness. Mr. Dollie retired in 1976 from Dodge Manufacturing Corp., Mishawaka, as a laborer. He was born Jan. 11, 1915, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

 

On July 15, 1943, in South Bend, he married Esther Ginter. She survives with a brother, Oscar of Keno, Ore.; and several nieces and nephews. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Masonic Lodge 675, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3194, American Legion Post 303 and United Steel Workers.

 

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood Drive. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home, where a Masonic service will be at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
