Wilfred August Doll

Mishawaka – Wilfred A. Doll, 63, of 327 W. Lawrence, died about 3 p.m. Monday in the Dallas Lamb Foundation Home, Payne, Ohio, after an extended illness. He had retired last year from the Bendix Corp. of South Bend. Doll was born Jan. 3, 1918 in Mishawaka and remained a lifetime resident. On June 6, 1937 in South Bend he married Stella Morozowski who died in 1966.

Surviving are three daughters, Miss Marie Doll of Mount Clement, Mich., Mrs. Ted (Darlene) Bradley of Mishawaka and Mrs. Derward (Winifred) Paysock of Hillsboro NC; a son Wilfred J. Doll of Antwerp, Ohio; five grandchildren; five sisters, Miss Gertrude Doll. Mrs. Bernadette Poppe and Mrs. Jonathan Housand, all of Mishawaka, and Mrs. Benton Hurst Jr. and Mrs Gene Norris, both of South Bend; and two brothers, Bernard and Edwin Doll, both of Mishawaka. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Monica’s Catholic Church with Rev. Thaddeus Kwak, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friend may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Thallemerr-Goethals Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.. Doll was a member of St. Monica’s  Parish and the Mishawaka Moose Lodge and he was a veteran of World War II.
