Oct. 11, 1928 - April 9, 2001

Gordon Delbert Dolph, 72, of New Carlisle, Ind., passed away at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 9, in his residence.

He was born on Oct. 11, 1928, in Michigan City, Ind., to the late Dewey S. and Ruth Ella (Norris) Dolph.

On Nov. 19, 1949, in South Bend, Ind., he married the former Mary Inez Reed, who survives. He is also survived by his daughters, Chris (Carl) Keller of New Carlisle, and Karen Dolph of Cleremont, Fla., Cathy (Bob) Hensell of Walkerton, Ind., and Debbie (Robert) Beck of Plymouth, Ind.; grandchildren, Cathy (Roger) Ward, Cole (April) Keller, Bob Hensell, Heather Hensell, Adam Beck, Megan Beck and Eric Beck; great-grandchildren, Ward and Noah Keller; five sisters, Alice Hayden of Boynton Beach, Fla., Virginia (William) Ellsworth of South Bend, Sylvia (Loren) Pratt of Mishawaka, Cathy (Robert) Lundquist of Mount Gilead, Ohio, and Bessie Conley of California; and by a brother, Dewey (Marion) Dolph of New Carlisle, Ind.

Mr. Dolph retired from the O'Brien Paint Company after 27 years service.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 13, in the WELSHEIMER NORTH FUNERAL HOME, 17033 Cleveland Road, with Rev. Sam Oliver officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. today, April 12, in the funeral home.
