Esther M. Domine

March 14, 1911 -- Sept. 30, 2005

                                       

Elizabeth Marie (Papai) Domine, 94, of South Haven, MI, formerly of South Bend, died Friday morning, Sept. 30, in South Haven Nursing Home.

Elizabeth was born March 14, 1911, in Bertrand, Michigan, to Steven and Bridget (Horvath) Papai, who preceded her in death along with four sisters, Rose, Mary, Kathryn and Ann; and four brothers, John, Joseph, Emery and Michael.

On August 15, 1941, in South Bend, she married Joseph F. Domine, who died in 1989.

Surviving are three daughters, Joan E. (Jimmy) Brown of Niles, Mich., Karen F. Domine Pilarski of South Haven and Maxine O'Chap of South Bend; one son, Jack (Pam) Blankenbaker of Elkhart, Ind.; 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, in the HICKEY Funeral Homes, 17131 Cleveland Road, with Rev. Andre Leveille, C.S.C., pastor of Little Flower Catholic Church where Elizabeth had been a parishioner, officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger.

Memorials may be made to Little Flower Church or to the Humane Society of St. Joseph County.
