William A. Donahue

William A. Donahue, 87, of Creekbank Lane, formerly of East Wayne Street, died Monday afternoon, Jan. 21, in his home.

Bill retired in 1980 as sales representative for 30 years with Dr. Scholl's Company.

He was born Sept. 19, 1914, in South Bend, Ind., to William H. and Margaret Sarah (Allen) Donahue, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Charles and John Donahue.

He married Margaret Ann Miller, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Pamela A. Smith of Franklin, Mass.; two sons, Patrick W. and Jerry D. Donahue, both of Columbus, Ohio; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and by two sisters, Mary Louise Kistler of South Bend and Margaret Ann Condon of Naples, Fla.

Bill was a member of St. Anthony's Parish, was an Elks Lodge 235 member for over 50 years, and was a South Bend Central High School graduate.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, South Bend. Entombment will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the HICKEY Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson, 289-1000, where a Rosary will be said at 4:30 p.m., and Elks Lodge 235 will have a service at 6 p.m.

Memorials may be made to St. Anthony's Church.
