Sister Mary Oswin CSC, 77, died Wednesday moring at St. Mary’s Convent after an extended illness. She was born Aug. 9, 1900 in New York City as Margaret Mary Donnelly. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross June 27, 1923 coming from New York City. She made her profession of vows Aug. 26, 1926. She was assigned to teaching in elementary schools in California, Idaho, Utah and Virginia and retired in 1968 to St. Catherine’s Convent, Ventura, Calif. She came to St. Mary’s Convent in 1971. Survivors include a cousin, Sister Leonora CSC of Dacca, Bangladest.

 

Friends may call today in the convent parlors, where a wake services will be at 7 p.m. today. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Our Lady of Loretto Church with burial in
Our Lady of Peace Cemetery at St.
Mary’s.
