SOUTH BEND - Memorial services for J. Richard Doran, 85, of Corby Boulevard, who died at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday while shoveling snow at his sister's home of an apparent heart attack, will be at a later date. Cremation will take place. McGann Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Doran retired in 1973 from the University of Notre Dame as a plumber after 45 years of service. He was born July 7, 1908, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. He is survived by a sister, Virginia Nowak of South Bend; and two brothers, C. Bernard ''Bud'' of Elkhart and F. Jerome of South Bend; four nieces and two nephews. He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish.
