Mary Y. Doubbelaere

April 3, 1911-Aug. 27, 1995

SOUTH BEND - Mary Yolanda Doubbelaere, 84, of Karl King Towers, 515 E. Monroe St., died at 3:30 a.m. Sunday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mrs. Doubbelaere formerly was employed in the laundry department at the University of Notre Dame. She was born April 3, 1911, in South Bend and was a lifelong local resident. On Jan. 29, 1930, in South Bend, as Mary Horvath, she married Charles L. Doubbelaere. He died in 1975. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Jane Klaybor of South Bend; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Theresa DeVos of Walkerton; and two brothers, G. John Horvath and Frank Horvath, both of South Bend. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Golden Cluster of St. Hedwig's Church.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Private burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Kanieski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Church Project 2000.
