Sister M. Leo Xavier CSC, 65, of the Sisters of Holy Cross, died early today in Saint Mary’s Convent. Born Marguerite Doyle in 1899 in Loogodtee, Ind., she received her early education in Daviess County, Ind., and entered the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1927. She received the habit in 1928 and made her final profession of vows in 1930. During her community life she was assigned to various schools in Austin, Texas; Lancaster, Pa.; Washington DC; Columbus, Ohio; Baltimore; and at Notre Dame. Serious illness forced her retirement to St. Mary’s Convent last fall. She is survived by four sisters, and four brothers.

The requiem high mass will be Friday morning in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto on the St. Mary’s College campus with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, also on the campus. Friends may call at the convent parlor.
