WALKERTON - Violet Lucille Drake, 80, of 70223 Indiana 104, died at 10:06 a.m. Tuesday in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Mrs. Drake was born March 12, 1914, in Tyner and was a lifelong area resident.

On Oct. 5, 1933, in Walkerton, as Violet Snyder, she married Paul Verdene Drake. He died Oct. 31, 1975. She is survived by three daughters, Judy Bryson of Brevard, N.C., Patricia Tomb of Merrillville, Ind., and Paula Hazen of Plymouth ; a son, James of North Liberty; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Martha Stahly of Walkerton. She was a member of Walkerton Women's Community Club.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
