Lowell A. Drudge
Nov. 24, 1919 - May 10, 2001

Lowell A. "Doc" Drudge, 81, of Bremen, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2001, at the Community Hospital of Bremen.

Lowell was born the son of Dr. Alfred and Respa (Bowser) Drudge on November 24, 1919, in Palestine, Indiana. He was a lifetime member of First United Church of Christ and worked as a rural mail carrier in the Bremen area. Lowell was a World War II US Army veteran and a member of the VFW and American Legion in Bremen. Lowell was married to Virginia Gunterman in 1939, and she preceded him in death in 1971.

Lowell is survived by his two daughters, Ann (Mike) Scott of Bremen, Jo Drudge of Rome City, In.; two granddaughters, Robyn Leyden and Carie Steinke of Indianapolis; three sisters, Dorlyn Stebbins of Mishawaka, Donna Anderson of South Bend, Mary Troxel of Bremen; one brother, Dr. Harold Drudge of Lexington, KY and one great grandson.

His wife, two brothers, Larry and Dick, and one great-grandson preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 14, at the First United Church of Christ in Bremen. Rev. Susan Sickelka will officiate. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery with Military Graveside Services. Friends may call on Sunday May 13, from 2 to 6 p.m., at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen.

Memorial contributions may be given to Marshall County Hospice, the First United Church of Christ, and Community Hospital of Bremen.
