George O. DuBois

December 4, 1904January 24, 1988

 

George O. DuBois, 83, of Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa, died at 1:50pm Sunday in the facility after an illness.  He retired in 1969 from Wheelabrator Corp, in Mishawaka after 35 years of services.

 

He was born December 4, 1904, in Tippecanoe and moved to Wakarusa 2½ years ago from Osceola.  On June 28, 1928, in Osceola, he married the former Ruth Ann Barnes, who died in 1982.  Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Maloney of Hatfield AR, Donna Russell of Osceola and Marjorie Miller of Irving TX; two sons, Don DuBois of Elkhart and James DuBois of Napanee; 16 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Ransberger of Mishawaka and Ruth Ann Robinson of Elkhart; and a brother, Robert DuBois of South Bend.  A daughter, Barbara DuBois, died in 1986, and a brother, Joe DuBois, also preceded him in death.

 

Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm Tuesday at Warner Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Osceola United Methodist Church, where Mr Dubois was a member.

Funeral Notes

Services for George O. DuBois, 83, of Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa, who died Sunday in the nursing home after an illness, will be at 10am Wednesday in the Osceola United Methodist Church.  Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

 

Friends may call from 7 to 9pm today at Warner Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the church, where Mr. DuBois was a member.
