Leslie Jo Dudeck

SOUTH BEND - Leslie Jo (Szabo) Dudeck (whose nickname by close friends and relatives was "BUZZ"), 43 passed away as a result of a car-train accident Monday, March 1, 2010 at 8:30 pm in Memorial Hospital surrounded by her FOREVER loving family. Leslie was born on January 6, 1967 to Joseph and Joan (Lach) Szabo. She is survived by her two sons Vince 17, and Brett 13; her mother, Joan (Lach) Szabo; two sisters, Victoria Joan (Darwin) Shipley, Mary Jo Szabo; a brother, Joseph Frank Szabo; nephews Adam, Aaron and Alan Shipley; and a great nephew, Aaron Shipley Jr. and her faithful dog Daisy. Leslie was a loving and caring mother, sister, and daughter and will be sadly missed by all who knew and cared for her. She had a passion for being around family and friends, whether it be a holiday gathering or by her favorite place, the pool in the summertime. Also, she was a breast cancer survivor who advocated for the cause. Leslie most enjoyed spending time with her loving sons and watching them compete in numerous sporting events. God bless her and she will be sadly missed. Leslie was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Szabo and grandmother, Mary Szabo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dudeck Memorial Fund for Leslie's two sons Vince and Brett Dudeck, c/o Joseph Szabo at any Teachers Credit Union. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Saturday, March 6, 2010 in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church. Cremation will follow.
