South Bend Tribune, Funeral Notes; Thursday Evening, December 17, 1953.

DUKAI - Funeral services for Joseph Dukai, 4705 W. Edison Rd., will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Stephen’s Catholic Church. Rev. J. P. Horvath, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Dukai was born in Hungary Sept. 21, 1881, and came here in 1900 from that country. He married Theresa Horvath here in 1903. She survives. He was a foreman for the Singer Manufacturing Co., where he was employed 52 years. Surviving are a son Alex, South Bend, five daughters, Mrs. Edward Johnson, Mrs. George Kowatch, Mrs. Casimir Duszynski, Mrs. Joseph Horvath and Miss Gizella Dukai, all of South Bend; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Nemeth Funeneral Home. Pallbearers will be Joseph VanMele, Everett Miller, Chris Wohlrab, Leonard and Chester Nawocki and Frank Goepfrich.
