Mrs. Theresa Dukai.  Mrs. Theresa Dukai, aged 81, of 120 South Cherry street, died at 12:15 p.m. Sunday in her home after several weeks' illness. She was born in Hungary April 1, 1857, and came here 34 years ago from that country. Surviving are a son, Joseph Dukai, this city, 16 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Laszlo Nemes in Hungary. The body will lie in the residence after 6 p.m. today.

 
South Bend Tribune, Obituary: Funeral Notes; Tuesday, April 5, 1938.

The funeral of Mrs. Theresa Dukai, 120 South Cherry street, will take place at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Stephen's Roman Catholic church, Rev. J. T. Kukla, O.F.M., pastor, will sing the requiem mass and burial will be in Cedar Grove cemetery.

Editorial note: As Theresa A. Varga, she married Michael Dukai, from Kapuvar, Sopron, Hungary. According to the data gathered from the Hungarian Immigration Collection by Chris Kovach and facts gathered from this obituary, Theresa was born in Kapuvar, Sopron, Hungary on April 01, 1857 and died on April 03, 1938 in South Bend, Indiana.  In accordance with St. Stephen death record, Michael Dukai and Theresa Varga had a son, Michael, born 1879 in Kapuvar, Sopron, Hungary who died 27 May 1905 in South Bend (buried at Cedar Grove).
