Mrs. Theresa Dukai. Mrs. Theresa Dukai, 23109 Edison Rd., died at 3:45 a.m. today in her residence after an illness of four years. She came to South Bend from Hungary where she was born Oct. 15, 1884. She had lived here 56 years. She was married Jan. 27, 1903, in South Bend, to Joseph Dukai, who preceded her in death. Surviving are a daughter, Miss Gizella; and a son, Alex, both at home; four daughters, Mrs. Edward Johnson, Mrs. George Kovatch, Mrs. Joseph Horvath, and Mrs. Casimer Duszynski; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all of South Bend. The body was taken to the Nemeth Funeral Home.

DUKAI – Funeral services for Mrs. Theresa Dukai, 23109 Edison Rd., who died Tuesday, will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church. Rev. George Fegyverneki, assistant pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Nemeth Funeral Home where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today. Pallbearers will be Joseph Nemeth, Louis Meykel, John and Louis Balka, Frank Barczykowski and George Kovatch.

Editorial note:  A son, Joseph Dukai (not mentioned in the obituary), preceded Theresa in death. Theresa was born in Kapuvar, Sopron, Hungary as daughter to Paul Horvath and Catherine Pongracz (confirmed by marriage records at St. Stephen Church).
