7, 1920 - Feb. 25, 2010SOUTH BEND - Helen Elizabeth Dunn, 89, of Sebring, Florida, formerly of South Bend, IN, and Pittsburgh, PA, died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, February 25, 2010. She was born June 7, 1920, in Pittsburgh, and on June 7, 1947, married Robert Francis Dunn. The family moved to South Bend in December 1959. Helen retired as a bookkeeper from the former Bendix Corp. Her husband died on November 7, 1976. Helen is survived by her daughter, Roberta Frances Dunn of South Bend; and her son, William Thomas Dunn, his wife, Holly; two grandchildren, Patrick and Sheila, all of Oak Park, IL; and her dear cousin, Dorothy "Pidgeon" Dulemba of Pittsburgh, PA. Helen loved to travel and play bridge, was an excellent cook, and a fabulous seamstress who made many beautiful outfits for herself and her daughter. Helen has already been cremated and her ashes will be interred next to her husband in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Hill, PA. A memorial service will be held in South Bend at a date yet to be determined.
