South Bend Tribune 11/5/1927

Sister Mary Rufina CSC, of the Sisters of the Congregation of the Holy Cross, who has been at St. Mary’s College for nearly 50 years and who for many friends amoung South Bend Residents and Holy Cross girls all over the country, died at St. Mary’s Friday morning. Her death was attributed to heart trouble. Had she lived, she would have celebrated her golden jubilee on Dec. 8. She was Miss Mary Dunn of Kalamazoo, Mich. before she entered St. Mary’s. She spent but one year of her religious life away from the motherhouse, and that was in Columbus, Ohio, where a mission was being established. For a great many years she had been assistant to the stewardess at St. Mary’s.
