Sister Mary Gregory CSC, 85, of Saint Mary’s Convent died at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday in the convent. She was born Oct. 8, 1884 at Chesterton, as Anna Marie Earley. She graduated in 1911 from the School of Nursing of Our Saviour’s Hospital, Jacksonville, Ill. She made her vows of profession in 1913. She remained in Jacksonville until 1916 when she was transferred to St. Alphonsus’ Hospital in Boise, Idaho, where she served until 1951. She was assigned to the Western Provincial House at Ogden, Utah until 1959, before being transferred to St. Mary’s Convent. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Mary Ellen Zaborowski of Chesterton, and two brothers, James P. Earley of Chesterton and Robert Earley of Chicago.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday in Our Lady of Loretto Church with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, St. Mary’s. The rosary will be recited today at 7 p.m. in the convent parlors.
