James Earl, aged 56, of 932 North Eddy street, died in St. Joseph hospital at 7:40 o’clock Sunday evening after two days’ illness with heart trouble. He was born in South Bend Jan. 1, 1878 and spent his entire life here. He was married in 1906 to Anna Long, who survives. He leaves also six brothers, John, Thomas, Neal  and James Earl, of this city; and George and Frank Earl, of Seattle, Wash. and a sister, Mrs. Leon Lester, of Grand Rapids, Mich.
The body will lie in the residence and the funeral will take place at 9 o’clock Wednesday morning from St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic church. Rev. J.J. O’Rourke, C.S.C., pastor, will read the mass and interment will be in Highland cemetery.
