Walter James Eberhart

Walter James Eberhart, 80, of 3026 Rue Montesquieu, died at 11:20 a.m. Thursday in Medco Center, South Bend, after an illness. Mr. Eberhart retired from Bendix Energy Controls, where he was manager of government contracts for 28 years. He was born July 23, 1911, in Mishawaka. He lived in South Bend the past five years, coming from New Carlisle. He lived in New Carlisle for 50 years.

 

On May 15, 1937, he married Ann Adele Hauser. She survives with a daughter, Barbara Myers of Muncie, Ind.; a son, Michael of Warren, Ohio; five grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Raymond of Mishawaka, and Doris Forsberg of Framingham, Mass.; and a brother, Harry of Mishawaka. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, New Carlisle, and the Bendix Senior Management Club.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity.
