Mrs. LeClair Eells

September 8, 1906December 16, 1972

 

Mrs. Dorothy Mae Eells, 66, of 549 River Avenue, died at 7:40am today at Healthwin Hospital.

 

She was born September 8, 1906, in Columbus OH and had lived here since 1913.  She was married September 10, 1931 in Rochester to LeClair H. Eells, professor emeritus of finance and business at the University of Notre Dame, who survives.  Also surviving are a son, John L. of Salt Lake City, two daughters, Mrs. Joanne R. Lindemann of Oconomowoc WI and Mrs. Karen E. Collins of Jackson MS, seven grandchildren, and a brother, Donald Dougall of Granger.

 

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Monday at the Welsheimer Funeral Home  Services will be held at 11am Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Kenneth Hemphill, retired pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating.  Burial will be in St Joseph Valley Memorial Park.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a past president of the Ladies of Notre Dame.
