NEW CARLISLE - Frank E. Ehrich, 94, of New Carlisle,
Indiana, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2008, in Hospice House
in South Bend, Indiana. Frank was born on September 4, 1913, in
Heston, Indiana, to Henry and Marietta (Rodgers) Ehrich.
He was self-employed as a mechanic and a farmer.
On April 20, 1935, Frank married Madeleine VanDusen,
who survives. Surviving with his wife are his daughter, Nancy
(Ernest) Ricks of Walkerton, Indiana; grandchildren,
Marlene (Marshall) Sherland of Walkerton, Indiana, and
Tammy Ricks of Walkerton, Indiana; and great-grandchildren, Holly
Seese, Emily Campbell and Ehricha Sherland. A
brother, Donald Ehrich, preceded him in death in 1957. Frank was
a member of the Community Christian Church of New Carlisle, a
32nd degree Mason with the Terre Coupee Lodge #204 F&AM, New
Carlisle, Indiana, the South Bend Valley Scottish Rite, the South
Bend Shrine Club, the Order of Eastern Star, New Carlisle,
Indiana, and Moose Lodge #58 in South Bend, Indiana.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2008, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 201 S. Filbert Street, New Carlisle, Indiana. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 2008, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, with burial to follow at the New Carlisle Cemetery.
