NEW CARLISLE - Madeleine Ehrich, 90, of New Carlisle, IN,
died at 10:45 AM Thursday, March 13, 2008, in her home. She was
born on February 25, 1918, to the late Wilmer and Bertha (Schrader)
Van Dusen in New Carlisle, IN, and was a lifelong
resident. Along with her parents, three brothers also preceded
her in death.
On April 20, 1935, as Madeleine Van Dusen,
she married Frank E. Ehrich in LaPorte, IN, who died on January
13, 2008. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy L. (Ernest) Ricks
of Walkerton, IN; two grandchildren, Marlene (Marshall) Sherland
and Tammy Ricks, both of Walkerton, IN; three
great-grandchildren, Holly Seese, Emily Campbell
and Ehricha Sherland; four great-great-grandchildren; and a
sister, Donna Bell Zook of New Carlisle, IN. Mrs. Ehrich was a
member of the Community Christian Church and the Order of the
Eastern Star, both in New Carlisle, IN. She loved spending time
in Canada where they had a cabin on Black Lake.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 PM today (Sunday, March 16) in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 201 S. Filbert Street, New Carlisle, IN. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 17, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, New Carlisle, IN, with Rev. Dr. Irwin Young officiating. Burial will follow at New Carlisle Cemetery.
