MISHAWAKA - Edward F. Elick, 97, of Countryside Place, formerly of Liberty Drive, died at noon Sunday in the nursing home. Mr. Elick retired from Studebaker Corp. He was born July 25, 1897, in South Bend.

In 1925, in South Bend, he married Helen Fisher. She died June 4, 1982. He is survived by a daughter, Beverly Tudor of Mishawaka.

He was an Army veteran of World War I and a member of World War I Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 50.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday in the chapel of St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation. Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, South Bend, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Countryside Place Activity Fund.
