Carl L. Elkin Sr.

     Carl L. Elkin Sr., 28 of Rt. 2 North Liberty, died at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Healthwin Hospital of injuries suffered Jan. 16, when he fell from a ladder while working at a building in the Nappanee Industrial Park, Nappanee. Mr. Elkins was a Borkholder Building employee. Born June 4, 1946, in Plymouth, he had lived in the North Liberty area all his life. On Oct. 30, 1965, in North Liberty, he married Karen Mann, who survives. Also surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Osborne Elkin of North Liberty; a son, Carl L. Jr., at home; a daughter, Angela-Marie, at home; a foster brother, William Scroghan of Indianapolis; a brother, John of North Liberty, and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Hummel of Wyatt, Mrs. Ruth Chamness of Kalamazoo, Mrs. Betty Hummel and Mrs. Dorothy Center, both of Bremen.

     Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4  and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Palmer Memorial Chapel, Lakeville. Services  will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Pine-Creek Church of the Brethren, North Liberty. Rev. Michael Hodson, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
