Bernice L. Elliott, 96, of Ridgedale
Road, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday, Oct.
30, in the Ironwood Health & Rehabilitation Center, South
Bend. Bernice was born in Pulaski County on July 18, 1906, and
was a lifelong area resident. She was formerly employed in the
housekeeping department at Memorial Hospital.
Bernice L. Gordon married David F.
Elliott in South Bend in December 1933. He passed away on March
20, 1986. She is survived by three sons, Paul N. Elliott and Glen
A. Ritchey, both of South Bend, and Wayne N. Elliott of
Pleasant Hills, Ore.; four daughters, Phyllis A. Jackson of
South Bend, Kaye Louise Fox of Sacramento, Calif., Betty Ditsch
of Mishawaka, Ind., and Carol Babbs of Wilcox, Ariz.; one
stepson, Russell Elliott of Hillsville, Va.; and by 24
grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, five
great-great-grandchildren and 11 step-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m.
today at City Cemetery, Mishawaka. Memorials may be made to the
Salvation Army, Mishawaka. The Bubb Funeral Chapel, Mishawaka,
handled the arrangements.
