Thelma V. England

Thelma V. England, 52, of South Logan Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness at 8:35 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5, in St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka.

Mrs. England was born on July 11, 1946, in Redwater, Texas, as the daughter of Cecil and Marie (Stanage) Sandefur. Mrs. England was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Sandefur, on May 22, 1995; a brother, Hubert Sandefur; and by two sisters, Edith Whitner and Caroline May.

Thelma is survived by her mother, Marie Sandefur of Mishawaka; two daughters, Anna (Wayne) Middleton and Starla (Jeff) Kollars, both of Mishawaka; two sons, Robert of Hollywood, Fla., and John England of Warsaw, Ind.; and by 14 grandchildren.

Mrs. England was a former crossing guard at LaSalle Elementary School, Mishawaka, was a member of the Cancer Society, and was a former Girl Scout leader.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. Eighth Street, Mishawaka.

Funeral services will be at noon on Friday at the funeral home, with Rev. Wayne Brock officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.

Contributions in memory of Mrs. England may be made to the American Cancer Society.
