Sister Mary Luke CSC died Friday in St. Mary’s Convent following an extended illness. She was born Frances Enrietto in Coal City, Ill. in 1880, and received her early education there. She entered the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1907 and received her habit in the same year. She made her profession of vows in 1910. During her community life she taught in Peoria and Chatsworth, Ill.; Plymouth and Elkhart, Ind.; Salt Lake City; Colusa, Oakland and Los Angeles, San Diego, Fresno, and Woodland, Calif.; and Twin Falls and Pocatell, Idaho. She retired to the St. Mary’s Convent in 1963.

A requiem mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday, and burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, on the campus. Friends may call at the convent parlor.
