Sister Mary Leon CSC, 68, died Thursday evening in St. Mary’s Convent, after a short illness. Born March 18, 1907 in Marengo, Ill. as Marguerite Teresa Ewen, she entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross on June 24, 1924. She was received as a novice Jan. 6, 1925 and made her profession on Jan. 6, 1927. She taught in St. Patrick’s School and Holy Cross School in South Bend. She also taught in schools in Anderson, Elkhart, Logansport, Michigan City, Plymouth and in Illinois. She had lived at the convent since 1973.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Loretto Church and burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus. Friends may call in the convent parlors, where a rosary will be recited at 7:15 p.m. today.
