SOUTH BEND - Ethel E. Fabing, 99, of Regency Place, died at 1 p.m. Monday in the nursing home. Mrs. Fabing was born June 20, 1895, in Wheeler, Ind., and lived in South Bend since 1982.
On June 15, 1915, in Valparaiso, as Ethel E. Cuson, she married Frank B. Fabing. He died Dec. 3, 1972. She is survived by four daughters, Jane A. Sellers of South Bend, Isabel Drain of Hyattsville, Md., Madelon McHale of Charlotte, N.C., and Joyce Andersen of Mountain View, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a brother, John H. Cuson of Mill Creek. Two sons, Harold R., died Nov. 3, 1968, Francis J., died April 10, 1916, and a granddaughter, Karen Andersen, preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Bartholomew Funeral Home, Valparaiso. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Valparaiso. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
