Indiana, South Bend Tribune, Local Obituary; May 10, 1952.

Alexander Farkas, 1630 N. Meade street, died at 8:55 p.m. Friday after an illness since last December.  He was born in Hungary Dec 15, 1880 and came here in 1906. He was employed by the Singer Manufacturing company for 40 years.  In Hungary, he married Rosa Gocza, who died in 1937.  In 1939 he married Mrs. Mary Nagy (formerly Mrs. Mary Fuzy, widower), who survives.  Also surviving are four children, Mrs Herman Unger, Mrs Jerry Post, Mrs Leo Deka and Alex, Jr.; three stepchildren, Mrs Homer Moon, Mrs Andrew Hartman and Andrew Fuzy: 10 grandchildren, and six step-grandchildren: a brother Stephen, and a sister, Mrs Anna Szabo, all of South Bend.  Friends may call in the Nemeth Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today.

FARKAS - Funeral services for Alexander Farkas, 1630 North Meade street, who died Friday in his residence, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Nemeth Funeral home with Rev. Joseph P. Horvath, pastor of St. Stephen's Catholic church, officiating.  Burial will be in Highland cemetery.  Six grandsons will be pallbearers, Jerry J. Post, David Post, Daniel Post, Ronald Unger, Robert Hartman and Donald Deka.
