Helen Farley

South Bend -- services for Helen Farley, 86, of Wakema Street, who died about 7:12 AMSunday at St. Joseph's care center Morningside, will be at 10 AM Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.  Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.  Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday at Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 East Jefferson Boulevard, where a parish rosary will be said at 4:30 PM.  Memorial contributions may be made to the University of Notre Dame.  Mrs. Farley was a retired teacher employed by the South Bend Community School Corp., Mishawaka School Cityand Penn-Harris-Madison schools.  She last taught at Elsie Rogers Elementary School in P.-H.-M..  She was born October 25, 1903, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.  She is survived by a brother, Bernard Haney of South Bend.  A sister, Marie C. Shoemaker, died January 11.  She was a member of the church and the Indiana Retired Teachers Association.
