Sister Charles Mary CSC, 55, of Saint Mary’s Convent, died at 7 p.m. Sunday in the convent. She was born June 18, 1917 in Mt. Vernon, S. D., and as Mary Rosalie Farrell, she entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross on Sept. 11, 1946, coming from DeWitt, Iowa. She made her final profession of vows on Aug. 15, 1949. She taught in elementary schools in Anderson, Fort Wayne, Plymouth, South Bend, Illinois, Iowa and Michigan including St. Joseph and Christ the King schools in South Bend.

Services were to be held at 11 a.m. today in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery at St. Mary’s.
