SOUTH BEND – William Otto Farrell, 70, of 1214 Marietta Street, died Sunday in his home after an illness. Mr. Farrell was employed more than 20 years at Wheelabrater Corp., retiring in 1977. He was born Feb. 18, 1915 in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

 

He is survived by three sisters, Cecelia Gollatz of Bremen, Dorothy Tekker of Osceola and Elaine DeNeve of Mishawaka; three brothers, Francis and Charles, both of South Bend and Roy of Elkhart; and his mother Mary Farrell of South Bend.

 

Services will. Be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Forest G. Hay Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today and after noon until services Tuesday in the funeral home. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
