James C. Farr

James C. "Jim" Farr, 44, of Battell Street in Mishawaka, Ind., died at 2:30 a.m. Friday, July 9.

Jim was born in South Bend, Ind., on Nov. 16, 1959, to Evans C. and Mary Jane (Brady) Farr. He was preceded in death by his father in 1963, and by a brother, Timothy M. Farr in 1968.

Jim married the former Tina L. Buck in Mishawaka on March 16, 1982. He is survived by his wife, Tina; their daughters, Felicia A. Farr (Douglas Barrier) and Fawn M. Farr, both of Mishawaka; two grandchildren, Caitlynn and Carson Barrier. Also surviving are his mother, Jane Wigent of Mishawaka; a sister, Marianne (Tom) Daffron of Granger, Ind.; and two brothers, John E. Farr and Terry J. Farr, both of Mishawaka.

Jim worked as a material handler for R.I.M., Inc., in Elkhart, Ind., and was a member of Fitness USA. Jim was a veteran of the United States military, serving in the U.S. Army, stationed in Korea, being honorably discharged in June 1981. Jim also attended Mishawaka High School.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 12, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St. in Mishawaka. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 13, with Rev. David Miller officiating. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
