Verlyn M. Fausnaugh

July 5, 1918 - June 6, 2001

SOUTH BEND - Verlyn Mavis Fausnaugh, 82, of Park Jefferson Apartments, died at 6 p.m., Wednesday, June 6, in her home.

She was born in Ligonier, Ind., to George and Jennie (Sexton) Grover on July 5, 1918, and married Wilford Allen "Bill" Fausnaugh on Nov. 20, 1940. He died Nov. 24, 1959. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Bill Grover.

She is survived by two daughters, Leslie (Bob) Bloss of St. Joseph, Mich., and Jeanne (Andy) Mickels of South Bend, Ind.; seven grandchildren, Robert Bloss, Bridgette Bloss, Dawn Bloss, Michael Bloss, Leslie-Anne Bloss, Gabrielle Brooks and Meredith Mickels; five great-grandchildren, Taylor, Shaye, Hannah, Grace, and one soon to be born; and by a sister, Mrs. Dewey (Peggy) Brown of Avondale Estates, Ga.

She was a library technician, a 1937 graduate of Goshen High School, and was involved with the Forever Learning Institute, South Bend.

Friends may call 3 to 7 p.m. today, June 8, in the Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, Goshen, Ind., where the service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Pastor Assistant Pamela Kling of First United Methodist Church, Goshen, will officiate. Burial will be at Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.
