SOUTH BEND - Brother John Joseph Federowicz, CSC, 71, of Our Lady of Good Counsel Cancer Home, St. Paul, Minn., formerly of South Bend, died Wednesday in the home.
Brother Federowicz entered Brothers of Holy Cross, Notre Dame, in 1940. He served as library administrator or supervisor in schools, colleges and seminaries in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Montana, Texas and Washington.
He was born June 20, 1922, in St. Paul. He is survived by two sisters, Florence McCalvy of Coon Rapids, Minn., and Irene Smith of St. Paul.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph Chapel, Holy Cross Brothers' Center.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Brother's Center.
A wake will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in the chapel.
Hickey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
