Viola E. Felkins, 89, of Early Road, South Bend, Ind., passed away of natural causes on Tuesday, Jan. 11, in Miller's Merry Manor, New Carlisle, Ind. Mrs. Felkins was born on Jan. 29, 1910, in Gothenburg, Neb., where she was a member of the First United Methodist Church of that area, and had lived in the South Bend area since 1936, coming from Iowa.

On Feb 14, 1935, as Viola E. Norsworthy, she married Raymond R. Felkins. He passed away on May 23, 1966. She is survived by two daughters, Lola (Louis) Jaronik of South Bend and Lynne Evans of Westfield, Ind.; a son, Stephen Felkins of Westfield; a stepson, Eugene Felkins of Springhill, Fla.; and by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Mrs. Felkins will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Highland Cemetery with the Rev. Sue Wieckum officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. The Welsheimer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
