Carmelina Pierina Maria Fermi

June 29, 1896 – June 12, 1956

Mishawaka – Mrs. Gaetano Fermi, 59, of 502 W. 8th St., died at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Hospital.

 

She was born in Carpaneto Province of Piacenza, Italy, from where she came to Mishawaka in 1922.

 

She was married to Gaetano Fermi in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church Sept. 13, 1924

 

Surviving are her husband; two sons, Rudy and Tommy Fermi, of Mishawaka; three sisters, Mrs. Delslia Belli and Mrs. Delphina Minotti, of Mishawaka, and Mrs. Palmira Perazzoli, of Italy; two grandsons and four brothers, Torino, Victor, Joseph and Theodore Vernasco, all of Mishawaka.

 

Friends may call in the Thellemer-Goethals Chapel after 7 p.m. today and until the funeral services at 9 a.m. in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church. Rev. Otto J. Keller, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Funeral rites for Mrs. Gaetano Fermi, 59, of 502 W. 8th St., who died Tuesday, will take place in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church. Rev. Otto J. Keller, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

 

Friends may call at the Thallemer-Goethals Chapel. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today in St. Bavo’s Church.

 

Members of the Senior Altar Society of St. Bavo’s will be pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be Joseph, Walter, Neil, Theodore, George and Elmo Vernasco.
