Guido Luigi Ferrettie

MISHAWAKA – Guido Ferrettie, 80, of 16407 Ireland Road, a long time grocery store operator and one of the founders of the De Amicis Club, died Saturday in St. Joseph Hospital following a two week illness. He was born in Carpeneto, Piacenza, Italy on April 7, 1888 and had lived 51 years in Mishawaka, coming from Chicago.

 

His wife, the former Miss Inez Marie Alitrandi, whom he married in 1920 died in Mishawaka in 1935. Surviving are two sons, Henry H. Ferrettie and Arthur Nelo Ferrettie, both of Mishawaka; a brother, Cino Ferrettie of Mishawaka and three grandchildren, Mrs. Terry Wentworth, John Ferrettie and Thomas Ferrettie, all of Mishawaka. The deceased was a veteran of World War I and a charter member of the De Amicis Club.

 

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and t to 9 p.m. Monday in the DeVos Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Very Rev. Curt A. Suelzer, pastor, will officiate and burial be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
