Frank C. Fetzer, 96, of 401 N. Main St., North Liberty died at 8:05 p.m.
Saturday at his home after an extended illness.  He was a retired livestock
dealer, and a former Democratic assessor for St. Joseph County, 1928-1932. 
He was born Sept. 6, 1876 in North Liberty, and spent his entire life in the
area.  His wife, Fannie, died Oct. 21, 1968.

Surviving are a son, Dr. W. Reed Fetzer of North Liberty, and a daugher,
Mrs. Clarence Heim of North Liberty; five grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren.  Friends by call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9
p.m. at the A. M. Manuel Funeral Home, North Liberty.  Burial will be at
Eastlawn Cemetery.  Arrangements are still incomplete.  He was a member of
North Liberty United Methodist Church.  The family has asked that memorial
contributions be given to the church fund.  He was also a member of the
Democratic election board, North Liberty, for 74 years.

FETZER-Services for Frank C. Fetzer, 96, of 401 N. Main St., North Liberty,
who died Saturday, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the A. M. Manuel Funeral
Home, North Liberty.  Rev. Robert Willbanks, pastor of the North Liberty
United Methodist Church officiating.  Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.  Memorial
contributions may be made to the church.
