Ninette J. Fifer, 73, of Guam Avenue, Mishawaka, Ind., died at 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10, in her residence.

She was born in LaPorte, Ind., on March 21, 1925, to Frank and Myrtle (Bell) Scharf, who preceded her in death.

She married John ''Kenny'' Fifer in LaPorte, on June 28, 1947. He survives.

She is also survived by four daughters, Libby Fifer of Coronado, Calif., Deb (Terrence) Schuhrke of Monarch Beach, Calif., Joanne (Douglass) Daron of South Bend, Ind., and Becky Fifer of Mishawaka; a son, Mike Fifer of Mishawaka; four grandchildren, Doug and Heather Daron of South Bend, and Jonathon and Erin Schuhrke of California; two sisters, June Hewitt and Elizabeth Marshall of LaPorte; and by a brother, Frank Scharf of LaPorte.

Ninette was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 13, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, where a wake service will be held at 3 p.m.

The funeral Mass will be said at 11 a.m. on Saturday in St. Monica Catholic Church. Committal prayers and burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
