Joseph P. Flaherty, 75, of Avon Park, Fla., formerly of South Bend, Ind., passed away on April 17, in Avon Park, Fla.
Joseph was born on Jan. 12, 1924, to Joseph D. and Helen (Drager) Flaherty.
On June 12, 1948 in Mishawaka, Ind., Joseph married Margaret Smith.
Joseph leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Margaret; three sons, William J. (Susan) Flaherty of South Bend, Joseph (Lynn) Flaherty of Baton Rouge, La., and Michael (Cindy) Flaherty of Plattsmouth, Neb.; a daughter, Cindy (Robert) Kee of Clintwood, Va.; a brother, William Flaherty of Castlebury, Fla.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Joseph worked for All Phase Electric in South Bend, Ind. He took an early retirement in 1977. Joseph was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Sebring, Fla.
There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. on Monday at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, Ind. Pastor Jack Cary will be officiating.
