Thaddeus Flis

Feb. 4, 1939 - Jan. 24, 1998

NORTH LIBERTY - Thaddeus ''Ted'' Flis, 58, of Indiana 23, North Liberty, Ind., died at 4:35 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24, in Hospice House, South Bend, Ind.

He was born on Feb. 4, 1939, in Sitaniec, Poland, and has lived here for 48 years, coming from Poland.

Mr. Flis was a tool designer for Holbert Engineering.

He was married on April 29, 1972, in South Bend, to Sharon Karkiewicz, who survives.

He is also survived by a daughter, Ann Marie Flis of North Liberty; a son, Benjamin John Flis of North Liberty; a grandson, Joseph Taylor Frepan; and by a brother, Henry Flis of South Bend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Melanie Flis.

Mr. Flis was a member of St. Hedwig Catholic Church, and a member of the Holy Name Society and the Ushers Club of the church. He was also a member of Cursillo.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in St. Hedwig Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
