SOUTH BEND - Alex Forray Jr., 85, passed away at 8:30 a.m.
Tuesday, August 12, 2008, in the Golden Living Center, Mishawaka.
He was born December 8, 1922, in Pensacola, FL, to Alex and
Elizabeth (Kvanka) Forray Sr. On August 25, 1962, in South
Bend, he married Mary C. (Chamberlain) Forray, who
preceded him in death on December 11, 1991. Mr. Forray is
survived by four daughters, Judy (Ken) Chastain of Berrien
Springs, MI, Sue (Ron) Brittain of South Bend, IN, Patti Malohn
of South Bend, IN, and Debbie Nelson of Lafayette, IN; two
sons, Brian (Roberta) Forray of Mishawaka, IN, and Alex Ray
Forray of South Bend, IN; 12 grandchildren and 10
great-grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth Lemanski of South
Bend, IN; and four brothers, Frank (Rosemary) Forray of San
Diego, CA, Eugene (Ellen) Forray of Coloma, MI, George (Patricia)
Forray of South Bend, IN, and James (Sandy) Forray of Knoxville,
IN. A stepson, Roger Ackley, and two sisters, Goldie Krogniewski
and Mary Forray, preceded him in death. Mr. Forray moved to South
Bend in 1942, coming from Pensacola, FL. He served his country
honorably in the United States Army. Mr. Forray was self-employed
as a truck driver. After his retirement, he drove a truck for
Hilltop Farms.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m.
Friday, August 15, in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel,
3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend. Burial will follow at Southlawn
Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to
8 p.m. today, August 14, 2008, in the funeral home, and one hour
prior to the services on Friday. Contributions may be made to the
American
Cancer Society,
