SOUTH BEND -- Shirley J. Forsberg,
69, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 1:30 AM Tuesday, February
27, 2007, in her home. She was owner and operator of Shirley's
for five years. Mrs. Forsberg was born on February 1, 1938, in
Mishawaka, IN, to the late Lloyd and Mae (Garrison) Buckner.
On October 2, 1971, in South Bend, IN, she
married Robert J. Forsberg Sr., who survives. Along with her
husband, Robert, she is survived by two daughters, Vicky Diamond
of Zephyr Cove, NV, and Cheryl Hendricks of Mishawaka; six
sons, Robert Forsberg Jr. of South Bend, Chris (Vicki) Forsberg
of South Bend, Joseph Forsberg of North Carolina, Jimmy Hendricks
of California, Billy Hendricks of South Bend and Rob Hendricks of
Boise, Idaho; 24 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; two
sisters, Gloria VanErt of Milwaukee, WI, and Sue Krienitz
of New Berlin, WI; and a brother, Lloyd Buckner of Milwaukee,
WI. Shirley taught Sunday school at St. Anthony dePadua Catholic
Church, South Bend, where she was a member. A special thank
you to all the Harbour Light nurses.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM
Saturday, March 3, 2007, in Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528
Mishawaka Ave., South Bend. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph
Valley Memorial Park, Granger. The family will receive friends
from 1:00 PM until time of services on Saturday in the funeral
home. Contributions in memory of Shirley J. Forsberg may be made
