MISHAWAKA - Mrs. Mary Forte, 83, of 414 W. 11th Street, died at 12:45 a.m. today in St. Joseph Hospital after an illness of two months. She was born in Rome on Jan. 17, 1892, and came to Mishawaka from Clinton, Ind., in 1929

As Mary Civilotti, she married Joseph Forte in Clinton on Sept. 17, 1910. He died in August 1955. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jennie Casper of Niles; three sons, John A., Angelo M. and Joe F, all of Mishawaka; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two brothers and two sisters in Rome. Another daughter, Mrs. Theresa Nyers, died in September 1969. She was a member of St. Bavo’s parish.

Servives for Mrs. Mary Forte, 83, of 414 W. 11th Street, who died early Thursday in St. Joseph Hospital after a two month illness, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church. Rev. Robert Mahoney, assistant pastor, will officiate, and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call today in the DeVos Funeral Chapel, where the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today.
